Even though you can pay for ads or market your blog on social media, most people who end up on websites and blogs come directly from search engines!

Specifically, various studies show that between 60-75% of traffic to sites comes from search engines, which is why SEO should be at the top of your marketing efforts.

Getting traffic from search engines is the most sustainable way to get traffic, which is why I don't believe anyone should jump in to learning about affiliate marketing, ad revenue, etc. without learning SEO.

If you want to make money with your blog sustainably, SEO is a must!

What this specifically means for you as a blogger is that you don't have to pay money for ads to get this traffic and you don't have to "pay" with your time by always marketing your posts on social media. Page views will come organically on its own from Google.

When page views come on its own from Google, you can do things like:

• attract the right readers to your blog,
• take a break from your blog when needed,
• get more attention from brands for potential sponsors,
• and best of all, increase your blog revenue.
