You'll get a high-level view of what SEO is, how it can help your blog and why it's so important, especially if you want to make money.

Good to Know

1. You may have seen this information on my blog, TikTok or Instagram, but there is in fact more detail in this course than any other platform so please read through this carefully, even if you feel like you know the information.

For example, the example of the reader's point-of-view includes an interesting statistic about the #1 spot on Google. So even if you know a subject fully, read a section fully so you don't miss out on anything.

2. For the purposes of this course and in practice with the SEO community, we will be referring to search engines as "search engines" or "Google".

We will not be referring to Yahoo or Bing because Google searches, including from Google.com, Google Images, Google Maps and YouTube, make up more than 90% of all searches.

Because of the the large share of searches that happens on Google, the SEO community really only cares about Google when it comes to SEO!
